artwork > Encaustic on Wood

In my encaustic paintings I am using botanical shapes interwoven with inverse writing to create partial abstractions. I am interested in emergence from ambiguous space, the shift from abstraction to understanding, i.e. shapes slowly emerging from the liquid layers beneath the ocean waves; musical themes woven into and emerging from the overall fabric of classical music; the emergence of understanding when learning a new language. These have influenced my painting.
